Tune Up Training
This program is a refresher program for dogs that have already completed basic or advanced gun dog training—whether through us, another trainer, or the owner. It’s designed to re-sharpen skills and get your dog mentally and physically ready for the upcoming season. Dogs will be run through realistic hunting setups including decoys, blinds, boats, land and water retrieves, and live or simulated bird work. This is not a beginner program—dogs must be gun broke, obedient, and experienced. Every dog must be evaluated before enrollment.

Basic Obedience
This foundational training program focuses on instilling discipline, responsiveness, and control in your dog. Dogs will learn essential commands such as sit, stay, heel, come, and place, both on leash and off leash. The goal is to create a reliable hunting partner that listens under pressure, maintains composure in high-distraction environments, and builds the groundwork for advanced gun dog work. This training also emphasizes steadiness, calm crate behavior, and basic socialization to prepare dogs for field scenarios and group hunts.
Basic Gun Dog
This program is designed to turn a well-mannered dog into a capable hunting companion. It covers intro to gunfire, marking single retrieves, steadiness, delivery to hand, and working from blinds and boats. Dogs are trained on both land and water, building confidence and drive while reinforcing obedience under real hunting conditions. By the end, your dog will be gun broke, collar conditioned, and ready for entry-level hunting scenarios. This is the essential first step for any serious waterfowl retriever.
Puppy Head Start Training
This early development program is built for puppies 8 weeks to 5 months old. It lays the groundwork for future training by focusing on socialization, crate training, basic obedience, confidence building, and intro to retrieving. Puppies are exposed to new environments, sounds, and surfaces, helping them develop into bold, stable dogs. Light intro to water and bird wings may be included depending on the pup’s maturity. This program sets the foundation for a successful hunting or companion dog.
